Diego Ramos broke down while talking about the death of Ernestina País on La noche de Mirtha. The actor recalled the day the actress didn’t show up for the performance and how he learned the tragic news.
«She was supposed to be at the theater at 8:30 PM. At 8:45, nothing. They called her and she didn’t answer. At 9:00 PM, the director, José María Muscari, called and told me: ‘Diego, she’s not coming.’ I thought she had fallen ill. But he said: ‘No, she passed away,'» Ramos recounted.
The actor said the play started late because everyone was in shock. «We were waiting for her and she never arrived. It was very intense,» he added.
Ramos also recalled the last performance they did together: «She was radiant, happy. I never imagined it would be the last time I saw her.»
The testimony moved viewers and panelists, who highlighted Ramos’s composure in telling such a painful story.
