In a chat with the press, the Alpine driver dropped a bombshell that made us jump out of our seats: if the Belgian race coincided with the World Cup final against Spain, he would have bailed! Yes, you read that right.
It turns out that in the paddock they were joking around, George Russell and Kimi Antonelli were teasing him about the World Cup, and Franco didn’t hold back. He said, calmly, that if he had to choose between racing at Spa-Francorchamps or watching the Scaloneta lift another cup, he wouldn’t hesitate for a second. “The F1 race or the World Cup final?
