Installment Alert! Xiaomi vs Samsung: Which One Breaks the Bank?

Explosive cell phone comparison in Argentina: interest-free installments, technical specs, and prices. Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 vs Samsung Galaxy A55, which one is better for you?

Por Redacción El Sereno · junio 21, 2026

Attention, Argentines! If you’re looking for a new phone in installments, you need to read this. Chinese brands like Xiaomi and Motorola are challenging Samsung’s turf, and prices are crazier than ever. Do you buy a Galaxy A55 with financing or go for a Redmi Note 13 with interest-free installments? We tell you everything, with real numbers and no beating around the bush.

Let’s start with the Samsung Galaxy A55. This model features a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display (FHD+), 5000 mAh battery, triple rear camera of 50 MP (main) + 12 MP (ultrawide) + 5 MP (macro), and Exynos 1480 processor. In Argentina, it goes for around $650,000 in fixed installments of up to 18 months with credit cards. Not bad, but watch out for interest if you stretch it too far.

On the other hand, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G comes with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display (120 Hz), 5000 mAh battery, 200 MP camera (main) + 8 MP (ultrawide) + 2 MP (macro), and Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. Its price is around $500,000, and you often find it in interest-free installments of 12 or 18 months on Mercado Libre or official stores. A steal!

But it’s not all roses: the build quality of the Xiaomi is more plasticky and the software sometimes comes with ads. In contrast, Samsung has better support and faster updates. Motorola also puts pressure with the Edge 40, which features a 6.55-inch pOLED display, 4400 mAh battery, 50 MP + 13 MP camera, and Dimensity 8020. Its price is about $550,000, and in installments with Ahora 12 or Ahora 18 it can be cheaper than the Samsung.

Apple, as always, is a different story. The iPhone 15 costs over $1,200,000, although there are fixed installment options at Personal or Claro. But no way is it worth it if you want to save.

In summary, if you want the best value for money, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro is the king of installments. But if you prioritize warranty and smoothness, Samsung still rules the game. Choose carefully, because inflation doesn’t forgive!
