Attention, Argentines! If you were waiting for the right moment to change that phone that’s no longer working, your opportunity has arrived. The new interest-free installment plan for buying cell phones promises to shake up the market. Banks, carriers, and brands have joined this move that allows you to finance up to 12 or 18 fixed installments. The protagonists? The heavyweights: Samsung, Motorola, Apple, and Xiaomi. Here we tell you everything you need to know so you don’t miss this unique opportunity.

Which models are included? From the top-of-the-line to the most affordable. For example, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra (6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, 5000 mAh battery, 200 MP camera, and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor) is available from $1,749,999 in 12 interest-free installments of $145,833. Or the Motorola Edge 50 Pro (6.7-inch pOLED display, 4500 mAh battery, 50 MP camera, and Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor) at $899,999 in 18 installments of $50,000. If you’re an Apple fan, the iPhone 15 Pro Max (6.7-inch Super Retina XDR display, 4422 mAh battery, triple 48 MP camera, and A17 Pro chip) is available from $1,999,999 in 12 installments of $166,666. And for those looking for value for money, the Xiaomi 14 (6.36-inch AMOLED display, 4610 mAh battery, 50 MP camera, and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3) can be had for $799,999 in 18 installments of $44,444.

How to access? Most affiliated banks offer these plans: Banco Nación, Provincia, Galicia, Santander, Macro, among others. Carriers like Personal, Movistar, and Claro also have their own combos. Important: interest-free installments are only with credit card and in some cases require bank key or automatic debit. Prices may vary by store, but generally the discount for cash payment is up to 15%.

Is it worth it? With current inflation, financing without interest is a great deal. But be careful, some older models are also included. For example, the Motorola G84 (6.5-inch pOLED display, 5000 mAh battery, 50 MP camera, and Snapdragon 695) is at $399,999 in 18 installments of $22,222. Or the Samsung Galaxy A54 (6.4-inch Super AMOLED display, 5000 mAh battery, 50 MP camera, and Exynos 1380) at $499,999 in 12 installments of $41,666.

Until when? The plan is valid until the end of the month, but it is expected to be renewed. Don’t sleep on it: stocks fly and prices can change. If you want a new phone without breaking the piggy bank, this is the moment. Run to your bank or favorite online store before they run out!
