President-elect Javier Milei unleashed all his fury on Twitter against Martín Insaurralde, the former mayor of Lomas de Zamora investigated for illicit enrichment and money laundering. ‘Life in prison for Casta Insaurralde! The trigger for the new scandal was the release of images of Insaurralde’s dressing room, captured by his ex-wife, model Jesica Cirio. The photos show a hat with the face of Juan Domingo Perón on a shelf, surrounded by stacks of dollars and luxury items. ‘Perón, beginning and end, alpha and omega, bursts onto the scene and explains it,’ a user joked on social media, while others compared the scene to the famous hug of Néstor Kirchner with a safe.
But what angered Milei most was not just the hat, but the magnitude of the hidden fortune.
