The 2026 World Cup is entering its final stretch and the tension is palpable. This Monday, July 13, there is no official activity, but the four powerhouses are already warming up for the semifinals. France, Spain, England, and Argentina are vying for a spot in the final in two duels that promise to be epic.
On Tuesday, July 14, at 3:00 PM ET (2:00 PM CT and 12:00 PM PT), France and Spain will clash at Dallas Stadium. Les Bleus arrive as a steamroller: with Kylian Mbappé as the star and a defense that conceded no goals in the entire knockout stage until the quarterfinals. Spain, led by Luis de la Fuente, comes off a dramatic victory over Belgium with a goal from Mikel Merino in the final minute and seeks its second World Cup final, 16 years after the title in South Africa 2010.
The following day, Wednesday 15, at the same time, Argentina and England will face off at Atlanta Stadium. La Albiceleste defends the Qatar 2022 crown and arrives undefeated, with Lionel Messi as the tournament’s top scorer alongside Mbappé, both with eight goals. In the quarterfinals, Argentina dispatched Switzerland 3-1. England, now under the guidance of Thomas Tuchel, advanced thanks to a brace from Harry Kane and a comeback by Jude Bellingham against Norway.
Notable facts: the four teams have a combined seven World Cup titles (three for Argentina, two for France, one each for Spain and England). It is the first time since Italy 1990 that all four World Cup semifinalists are former champions. Additionally, the Argentina-England clash is historic: they have not met in a World Cup since 2002, and it will be the first for Messi in his career.
After the semis, the tournament will pause on July 16 and 17. On Saturday 18, the third-place match will be played at Miami Stadium, and on Sunday 19, the grand final at New York New Jersey Stadium. The times for those matches have not yet been confirmed, but they are also expected to be at 3:00 PM ET. The World Cup madness is just beginning.

Vamos Argentina carajo!
