Guerra total en el peronismo: Kicillof vs La Cámpora, mientras Milei se frota las manos

Peronism is on the verge of explosion. The internal conflict between Kicillofism and La Cámpora is no longer a simple internal dispute: it is an open war that threatens to split the Justicialist movement in two. Meanwhile, Javier Milei, the libertarian president, watches from the Casa Rosada and reshuffles his cabinet with the arrival of former deputy head of the Buenos Aires city government, Diego Santilli, a move that seeks to capitalize on opposition fragmentation.

The tug-of-war between Axel Kicillof and Máximo Kirchner intensifies. The Buenos Aires governor seeks to consolidate his own political space, while La Cámpora, the militant arm of Kirchnerism, resists any attempt at autonomy. Secret meetings, public clashes, and cross-accusations are commonplace. Is a definitive rupture coming? Analysts agree that Peronist unity is more fragile than ever.

On the other side, Milei does not waste time. Santilli’s arrival in the cabinet is no coincidence: the former PRO member comes to give a more political profile to an administration that has so far been characterized by noise and improvisation. But the president’s boldest move is his proposal for political reform, which includes suspending the PASO primaries. A masterstroke: with the opposition fragmented and in internal war, eliminating the primaries could leave traditional parties without a tool to resolve their differences, directly benefiting the ruling party.

While politics is debated in offices, labor struggles do not stop. At the Fate tire factory, workers remain on a war footing against layoffs and austerity. The National Atomic Energy Commission (CNEA) is also a scene of conflict, with demands for wages and working conditions. And Buenos Aires teachers, on strike, demand an urgent salary increase. The working class gives no respite.

In this context, the left is also moving. Myriam Bregman and the PTS promote new committees of struggle and debate, seeking to coordinate resistance and build a political alternative for the new working class. The first forum organized by the United Left Front was a success, with broad participation from activists and social leaders. There, proposals to strengthen worker and popular organization were discussed, and lines of action were drawn to confront Milei’s austerity and the establishment.

The fragmentation of Peronism, the reorganization of the libertarian cabinet, labor struggles, and the debate on the left: all these elements make up an explosive political scenario. While the Peronist internal conflict escalates, Milei rubs his hands and bets on a reform that could change the rules of the electoral game. Can the opposition recover in time? Or will the internal war be the beginning of the end?
