In a press conference that promised to be the first of many, the new spokesperson for President Javier Milei, Adrián Ravier, made a strong impression at Casa Rosada and laid down the rules of the game. The academic, who until recently was a national deputy for La Pampa, not only outlined the axes of his management at the head of the Presidential Spokesperson’s Office but also set limits: he will not speak about judicial cases or conflicts between the branches of the State.
“From my position, you will find a person willing to listen and exchange ideas, always within the framework of issues concerning the progress of the national government,” Ravier stated, with a tone that aimed to be technical and executive. But the strongest definition came when he referred to judicial cases: “It is not my responsibility, in my capacity as representative of the president, to meddle in the competencies of another branch of the Argentine Republic, whether judicial or legislative.” With this stance, the government seeks to centralize public conversation on the reform agenda and avoid the corruption scandals that taint the Executive leadership and the President himself.
Ravier, who served as a national deputy for La Pampa, specified that he will begin his press conferences next week, every Tuesday at 11 a.m. His ultimate goal, as he expressed, is to help Argentina become “the freest country in the world,” by clearly communicating how official measures impact citizens’ daily lives.
The new spokesperson did not hide that, although they share a passion for the ideas of the Austrian school with Milei, they had philosophical and political “controversies” that distanced them in 2018. However, he highlighted that they managed to overcome those differences and praised the President’s vision, stating that he “can see further because he stands on the shoulders of giants.” He described him as a leader with the pedagogy of a teacher and the personality needed to “shake up the board” at a critical moment for the country.
Analyzing the economic situation, Ravier used a medical metaphor: he stated that in 2023 Argentina was in “intensive care” and that today, thanks to macroeconomic order, the patient is beginning to walk. He supported this vision with specific data: the drop in monthly inflation from 25% to 2.1% and a drastic reduction in poverty from 50% to 28%. “There is no need to wait to see another Argentina; we are already in another Argentina,” he declared.
The official quickly moved from academia to active politics. After directing the Faro Foundation, he was elected national deputy for La Pampa in 2025 and participated in what he described as the “most reformist National Congress in history,” where he defended laws such as Labor Modernization and RIGI. Regarding his new role as spokesperson, Ravier explained that the goal is to close the gap between the government’s achievements and public conversation, under the premise that now “the classroom has grown.” He defined fiscal balance as the non-negotiable axis of the administration and announced cutting-edge projects such as the “Super RIGI” and laws on legal personality for companies with Artificial Intelligence.
