Nutritionist Reveals the Seed That Strengthens Muscles and Shatters Three Summer Myths

Diego Sívori, director of Nutrition at UADE, visited a TV program and revealed the key seed for gaining muscle mass, while debunking three summer food myths we all believe.

Nutritionist Diego Sívori, director of the Nutrition degree at UADE, visited a television program and dropped several pearls that will shake more than one popular belief. In an interview not to be missed, the specialist revealed which dry, edible seed promotes muscle mass strengthening, and in passing shattered three summer food myths we all take for granted.

“Many say that rice, being a carbohydrate, is hard to digest, when in fact it’s the opposite. There is nothing easier to digest than a plate of rice,” Sívori explained. And he added a fact that goes against what is always heard: “To get these results, it’s better to eat white rice than brown rice. And what I say about rice also applies to pasta. Because in these two foods, the real problem is their companions: cheese, sauces, and processed meats.”

The specialist also tackled summer myths head-on. “Eating cold doesn’t mean low in calories, and eating hot doesn’t mean high in calories,” he stated. And he gave the perfect example: “Ice cream is a food that quickly translates into calories. The body cannot use all the calories: of that ice cream, 70% turns into body heat, and the remaining 30% into energy. So saying that eating ice cream cools you down is a myth.”

But he didn’t stop there. Sívori set up a podium of the three big summer myths: “An ice cream, a beer, or a bag of chips cool you down. These are possibly the three most consumed things during summer, and all three cause heat.” And on potato chips, he was scathing: “It is without a doubt the most addictive food in the world. Because it combines carbohydrates, fats, and crunchiness. It activates the hedonic centers in the brain, meaning it seeks pleasure. Most likely, when you open a bag of chips, you’ll eat the whole thing, which doesn’t happen with a bag of broccoli.”

Asked about which alcoholic drinks cause the worst hangovers, the nutritionist was clear: “Without a doubt, those that have some kind of coloring. At this time of year, the best example is aperitifs.” And he explained how alcohol impacts the body: “Caloric intake is a highway. If you consume too much excess with alcohol, your body will later demand a very large amount of energy. And everything left over goes to your abdominal fat reserves.” He also compared beer and wine: “A glass of beer or a glass of wine have very similar calorie levels. The only difference is that beer bloats you more.”

In the middle of the interview, Sívori also recommended seasonal fruits like melon and watermelon, which “provide a high level of water.” And he clarified: “Regarding sugar content, a slice of watermelon doesn’t even equal a candy. It gives you satiety, hydrates you, and provides fiber.” As a final tip, he suggested freezing grapes: “Leaving them in the freezer for a few hours gives us an unbeatable healthy snack.”

  1. Para mí la chía es otro verso de los chetos, la posta es la soja transgénica con glifosato, eso sí te hace músculo de laburante. Los tres mitos son humo del sistema para que no veamos que el pueblo come tierra. Abajo el capitalismo alimenticio, carajo!
