The wait is over. Samsung has just announced the arrival in Argentina of its new high-end foldable, the Galaxy Z Fold6, a true technological monster that promises to revolutionize the way we use our phones. With a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X main screen, 120 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 2600 nits, this device is ideal for watching series, gaming, or working from anywhere.

But it’s not just the screen that impresses: the Galaxy Z Fold6 comes equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, 12 GB of RAM, and 256 GB or 512 GB of internal storage. On the photography front, it features a triple rear camera setup with 50 MP (main), 12 MP (ultra-wide), and 10 MP (telephoto with 3x optical zoom), plus a 10 MP front camera and a 4 MP under-display camera. The 4400 mAh battery supports 25 W fast charging and 15 W wireless charging.

And the price? Here comes the big one: the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 is sold in Argentina at a price of $2,499,999 for the 256 GB version. Yes, two and a half million Argentine pesos. But it’s not all doom and gloom: Samsung offers financing in 6, 12, and up to 18 interest-free installments with select credit cards. Additionally, early buyers get a free pair of Galaxy Buds3 Pro and an official protective case.

Meanwhile, its competitors are not far behind. Motorola is about to launch the Razr 50 Ultra with a 3.6-inch external screen, 50+50 MP camera, and an estimated price of $1,999,999. Xiaomi, for its part, brought the Mix Fold 4 (import only) at $2,200,000, with an 8.01-inch screen and a Leica 50+12+10+10 MP camera. And Apple still has no foldables, but the iPhone 16 Pro Max starts at $2,799,999 (yes, more expensive than Samsung’s foldable).

Is it worth it? It depends on your wallet. If you’re looking for the latest in technology and want to pay in installments, the Galaxy Z Fold6 is a tempting option. But if you prefer to save some cash, the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra looks like the most balanced choice. What’s clear is that the foldable war is just beginning in Argentina, and Samsung struck first.
