James Franco asegura que hay “algo no humano” acechándolo en su casa: “No estoy loco”

James Franco has once again captured attention on social media, though this time not for a new film project. The 48-year-old American actor and director posted a series of videos on TikTok in which he claims to have recorded the presence of a supposed extraterrestrial on his property, a sequence that sparked all kinds of reactions among his followers.

The posts appeared on the account JamesFranco2319, which the actor launched in June and already has nearly one million followers. Since then, he has shared several enigmatic videos in which he insisted he had evidence of a strange episode.

The sequence began on June 3, when Franco reappeared on social media after several years of inactivity. In a video, he claimed to have had an experience he «could not explain» and said that over the following days he would share evidence of what happened. From then on, he built an increasingly unsettling narrative through various posts.

In those videos, the actor said that one night, while painting in his garage, he saw a figure with an elongated head, bright eyes, and a hand with several fingers that emitted strange sounds. He also claimed that powerful people tried to silence him and stated that his Instagram and TikTok accounts were hacked on two occasions. In one message, he even wrote: «If I disappear, you know what happened. They found me.»

Toward the end of June, Franco deepened the mystery by repeatedly posting the number that forms part of his account name, 2319. In several videos, he appears uttering that figure over and over, while some users interpreted it as an encrypted message linked to the alleged encounters he described. However, the actor never publicly explained the meaning of that numerical sequence. «They want me to stop. People think I’m crazy. It doesn’t matter. I’m not crazy. I saw something,» he said in a video posted on June 25.

The story reached its peak on July 13, when he released a video attributed to a black-and-white security camera. The footage shows a humanoid-looking figure walking outside a house and peering through one of the windows. According to Franco, this situation had been recurring for several weeks.

In that same video, the actor again insisted he was not willing to remain silent. «I can’t stay quiet,» he said. «I need this to come to light precisely because people are trying to stop me,» he stated.

The post concluded with another message that fueled the mystery: «Soon there will be much more material! It’s going to get very crazy!»

Curiously, in almost all the videos, supposedly recorded on different days, the actor wears the same shirt. But that was not the only detail that caught his followers’ attention. While some claimed to believe the story, others interpreted it as part of a promotional strategy. «Haha, keeping a straight face is pretty impressive,» one user wrote.

Beyond the uncertainty about the origin of the videos, the actor has several projects underway. These include the prequel John Rambo, starring Noah Centineo; Golden State Killer, directed by Vincent Gallo; and the comedy Toad.

Last May, Franco also made a public reappearance with his partner, Izabel Pakzad, during the Cannes Film Festival, where the action thriller Foster was presented at the film market.

The actor had stayed away from public exposure in recent years after five women accused him of sexual misconduct in 2018, some of them students at his acting school. In 2021, he reached an out-of-court settlement with two of the accusers. According to documents obtained by People magazine at the time, he agreed to pay compensation to close the lawsuit.
