Jeep has just shaken up the Argentine market with the facelift of the Renegade, the SUV that has surpassed 700,000 units produced in the region since 2015. The North American brand has worked on the exterior design, interior, and equipment, but retains the 1.3-liter T270 turbo engine. The model is manufactured at the Stellantis automotive hub in Goiana, Brazil, and is now available at dealerships across the country.
On the outside, the Renegade is refreshed with a seven-slot grille, redesigned bumpers, and full LED circular headlights. At the rear, it retains the signature «X» shape that identifies it. But the most exciting part is inside: it now features a 10-inch multimedia center with wireless smartphone connectivity and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster across all versions. It also adds USB ports for both front seats and, depending on the version, fabric or leather upholstery, color combinations, and contrast stitching.
In terms of safety, it doesn’t fall behind. All versions come with six airbags (two front, two side, and two curtain). From the Altitude version, which is the entry-level trim, driving assists are added such as cruise control, speed limiter, lane keeping assist, pre-collision alert, blind spot indicator, traffic sign detection, and driver fatigue detection.
The range consists of four versions: Altitude, Night Eagle, Sahara, and Willys. All retain the 1.3-liter T270 turbo engine, delivering 175 hp and 270 Nm of torque. The Altitude, Longitude Night Eagle, and Sahara versions use a six-speed automatic transmission and 4×2 drive. The Willys, on the other hand, comes with a nine-speed automatic transmission and 4×4 drive, ideal for those who want to go off-road.
The Altitude version opens the range with a black two-tone roof, 17-inch wheels, roof rails, body-colored exterior handles, 10-inch multimedia screen, 7-inch digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, and black headliner. In terms of safety, it adds driver fatigue alert, tire pressure sensor, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, traffic sign recognition, autonomous emergency braking, parking camera, remote start, and keyless entry.
The Night Eagle version raises the stakes with black 18-inch wheels, fog lights, darkened badges, panoramic sunroof with opening, rear parking sensor, and automatic high beams. The Sahara is distinguished by diamond-cut 18-inch wheels, black two-tone roof, front parking sensor, and blind spot detection.
Finally, the Willys is the most adventurous variant. It swaps the 18-inch wheels for black 17-inch ones, incorporates ATR Plus tires, front and rear parking sensors, Willys leather upholstery, and keyless system.
The new Jeep Renegade comes with a transferable warranty of three years or 100,000 kilometers, whichever occurs first. Maintenance services must be performed every 12 months or every 12,000 kilometers.

Para mí esto es lo que necesitaba el Renegade, dejar de ser un juguete de zurdos. Ahora viene con carácter, pantalla gigante y motor turbo, como debe ser. Los progres van a llorar porque es agresivo o contamina, pero que se jodan. ¡Vamos, Jeep, no te achiques! Firmado: El Gaucho Motorizado.
