Estallido militante: más de 700 se suman a los Comités con Bregman en todo el país

Last weekend, left-wing militancy once again took to the streets and cultural centers. Over 700 comrades participated in the new meetings of the Committees alongside Myriam Bregman, held in different parts of the country: Buenos Aires City, Northern Greater Buenos Aires, Tucumán and Patagonia. The goal: to discuss and organize to build a party of the new working class.

In Buenos Aires City, the meetings concluded with a protest in repudiation of the state of exception decreed by the government of Rodrigo Paz in Bolivia. The CABA committees decided to gather on Saturday at 5:30 PM at the Obelisk and march to the Bolivian embassy.

One of the most crowded meetings was the Almagro Committee, which brought together about 300 people at Guardia Vieja 3540. Present were Patricio del Corro, Raúl Godoy and Florencia Saracho, among other leaders. Teachers, telecommunications workers, UNA students, artists, precarious workers, feminists and members of the Bolivian community exchanged ideas and proposals.

At the socialist house Rebelión at Alsina 975, half a hundred teachers and students set up the Tertiary Committee. The call came from institutions such as Normal 1, Joaquín V. González and Alicia Moreau de Justo. Federico Puy, deputy secretary of Ademys, and presidents of tertiary student centers participated.

Also formed were the University City Committee, in Pavilion 2 of the UBA, and the UBA Social Sciences Committee, with the presence of Christian “Chipi” Castillo. At San Juan 1836, the UBA Law Students and CeProDH Committee met, with Alejandrina Barry, daughter of the disappeared, and Carlos Platkowski, lawyer. At the same venue, the CBC-UBC Students Committee had Carina Melito and Yohia Cardoso Marino.

In the Northern Zone, the Vicente López Committee met in Villa Martelli with more than twenty participants, including workers from Pilkington, teachers and state employees.

In Tucumán, the Feminist Committee of Women and Diversities gathered half a hundred teachers, health personnel and students at the Political and Cultural Socialist Center Tucumán Arde. Local leader Alejandra Arreguez participated.

In Patagonia, meetings multiplied. In Viedma, about twenty people gathered at the bar El Viejo Taller, including relatives of Ramiro Dina, murdered last year in a police station. In Cipolletti, more than 30 comrades met at the UnTER headquarters, with the presence of Cecilia Carrasco, general secretary of ADUNC Cipolletti. In Bariloche, more than 60 people gathered at the CRUB UNCo headquarters, with teachers, students and mental health workers. In Fiske Menuco, almost half a hundred met at FADECS UNCo, with retirees, students and leaders such as Carmelo Scala and Gabriela De Gregorio. In El Bolsón, about twenty formed the Comarca Andina Committee, and voted to meet again on July 4.

In Trelew, nearly forty workers gathered at the headquarters of the National University of Patagonia San Juan Bosco. There it was decided to call a new meeting in 15 or 21 days and promote the trip to the National Meeting of Women and Diversities in Córdoba.

In total, adding the meetings of this weekend and the previous week in Comodoro Rivadavia, more than 100 people have already participated in the committees of the province of Chubut.

The Committees alongside Myriam Bregman, Nicolás del Caño, Christian Castillo, Alejandro Vilca, Laura Vilches, Andrea D’Atri and other PTS leaders in the FITU seek to build an alternative of the new working class against the austerity plan of Javier Milei and the IMF. Resolutions include support for the struggle of the Bolivian people and coordination to confront gender-based violence.
